Our Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons and experienced nurses will be supported by a multidisciplinary team, including specialist breast nurse and physiotherapist as well as allied health clinicians.
Mr Stephen Salerno is a highly skilled Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with extensive experience. To meet the growing demands for specialist work in this area, Stephen has consulting suites in Werribee and Moonee Ponds.
After receiving his Medical and Surgical Degree, Stephen went on to take part in the four-year Plastic Surgery training program. Mr Salerno completed his surgical Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007. He has been working at the Alfred, Monash and Western Hospitals since 2008 as a visiting Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon.
He has a special interest in melanoma treatment and surgery and works with The Victorian Melanoma Service. Stephen plans to commence operating at St Vincent’s Private hospital in Werribee from the time of opening, offering an extensive range of services.
Some of the procedures offered will be excision and reconstruction of skin cancers including melanoma, hand surgery, such as carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, Dupuytren’s and ganglions. He also performs cosmetic procedures including abdominoplasty, breast surgery, otoplasty and body contouring surgery for post weight reduction patients.
